When a client approaches the team with a unique travel request, the logistics involve precise coordination and selection of the right aircraft. In this instance, a client sought an off-grid destination for a spiritual retreat, requiring a private environment free from phones and screens. The planning began with identifying coordinates, leading the team to initially investigate Blackadore Caye in Belize. However, due to the project's status at that location, an alternative private island with a landing strip was selected.
To facilitate the travel, the journey requires a combination of aircraft. A G650 is utilized to fly to the main airport near the destination, followed by a transfer to a seaplane, a Caravan, for the final leg to the island. Beyond these logistical arrangements, the client further specified that the Wi-Fi on the G650 must be turned off to maintain the requested digital-free environment.
