When a client calls in distress after losing a pet, our team moves quickly to coordinate a search. In this instance, a client has reached out regarding a missing hamster after a private charter flight. Our first step is to establish the current situation with the passenger, confirming their arrival at the fixed-base operator to assess the potential whereabouts of the animal. We then initiate coordination with the flight attendants to assist in the search within the cabin. When a pet has gone missing in this environment, we work to address client concerns regarding safety risks. We advise the client against actions that could pose a threat to the animal, such as reclining seats or operating cabin doors while the search is ongoing. To support the recovery, our team facilitates contact between the client and the onsite staff at the fixed-base operator, requesting that they monitor the perimeter of the aircraft to secure the area and ensure the pet is retrieved safely if it has moved outside the cabin.
